Geared toward young Angelenos getting started with visual arts careers, these workshops help artists lay a solid foundation for building a viable arts practice. Formal arts training is helpful but not required. Topics include portfolios, self-promotion, open calls, building an exhibition history, creating opportunities, Q&A, collectives, curating, recordkeeping, and more. The series includes both Zoom and in-person meetings. Open to LA County residents, 16-25 years old. No fee. Seats are limited.

Exhibition Proposals
Do you have a body of work ready for exhibition? Are you a curator with an exhibition idea? Launch is interested in helping develop your career and practice through our ongoing call for exhibition proposals. Send us an exhibition description including short artist bio(s); type, size and number of works along with any special installation needs; a statement about this work, artist or curator CV (limited to 2 pages please), and images of the work to be shown; include with an image list with image details and thumbnails. Images should be jpeg, between 750 and 1500 ppi on the longest side and labeled to clearly correspond to the image list. Due to the number of responses, we will confirm receipt of your package and will contact artists only when we have questions or a potential spot for them. Email your package to entry@launchla.org with the subject line Exhibition Proposal and your name. No fee. Open to LA County artists.
Open Calls
Launch periodically produces pop-up group open call exhibitions with guest curators and a specific underlying concept.
